7 Day No Sweets Challenge



Sugar is widely known as the number one cause of diabetes, heart diseases and many other complications in our health. The bad part is we can cut out all sugars and even go for items labeled "no refined sugars" but they will sneakily find a way to add it in there using another name that you might not recognize.

So, yes, it might be a bit tedious to look at labels and packages for 7 days but trust me, it will help your body to curb your sugar cravings.  
Please NOTE: This no sugar challenge means NO ADDED sugar - only natural sugars found in foods like fruits, milk, plain yogurt and fresh vegetables are completely okay. The plan is to give up ADDED sugars - anything that doesn't occur in foods naturally and can be found mostly in processed foods. 

Here are the rules:
- Foods that have added sugar of any kind are not allowed. You might be surprised to learn that sugar has many names (listed above) and some are disguised right in the ingredients list. Sneaky, sneaky, right?  Some manufactures will even go as far as promote "No High Fructose Corn Syrup" which is true for the most part but they will add other sugars with other names because they know the consumer doesn't really know what they are looking for. 

- No added natural sugars or sweeteners of any kind which include: honey, agave nectaar, stevia, molasses, coconut sugar, etc. 

- No added refined sugars (white sugar, corn syrup, brown sugar)

- No added artificial sweeteners (Splenda, Truvia, Nutrasweet, etc.)
