Summer Essentials: What's In My Beach/Pool Bag? & A Giveaway

ODE TO THE SUMMER!!! 

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I LOVE SUMMER...and contests which is why I made summer permanent in my life and moved down to the hottest state on the planet! :) 

I watch a lot of Youtube videos and though my channel, khloedesigndiva, is up and full of some pretty cool vlogs, I only have 2 subscribers so not many people will tag me to do a "What's in My Beach/Pool Bag?" tag but I'm doing it anyway because I'm me...and I'm cool! So if you don't like that I did this tag without being tagged and without a camera..Sorry, I'm not sorry! 

I have teamed up with KG STYLE DESIGNS (oh, wait..that's me!!) Anywho, if you're new here as I suspect a lot of you would be because I told you to come here, I am an interior and event designer and I own an online home decor shop called Touched (by KG STYLE DESIGNS) - sells awesome home accessories and you can hire me for some of my many amazing services...but now I'm rambling! With the love of all beauty things related (which is where this blog came from) - I will be opening up a BEAUTY LOUNGE. The idea came from always wanting a vanity area or a girl area in my home to do my makeup and just be girly! I call it my beauty lounge. On my website, the Beauty Lounge will be pretty much the same thing - a place where you can buy makeup organization items like storage bins, cosmetic bags, and coming soon - Touched's own line of makeup brushes!!! 

It will also be a place to talk beauty. Every month will be a different theme with different must-have's or favorites from select beauty guru's who have decided to join me on my venture. They will answer most of your questions and even give in depth reviews for you about the items. I will also chime in when I know what I'm talking about ...which as you've seen from my terrible first makeup collection blog post - its not much! 

So here's the thing...enough of the blah blah blah..smickety smack...let's get on to the point of this blog post and of course, the reason why you stopped by - the GIVEAWAY!!! 

What's in my Beach/Pool bag?

1. A cute oversized bag made of burlap or waterproof material..huge and comfy to carry all of your essential things. Buy a really cute 

2. Evian Facial Spray - when the weather makes you extremely hot, you can spray this on your face and makes you feel refreshed instantly. 

3. Cute sunglasses. YOU HAVE GOT TO PROTECT THOSE EYES!! But don't take your expensive glasses - take something cute, colorful and fun for the day at the beach! 

4. Neutrogena Sun Screen. My favorite brand of sunscreen.  I use the spray - on for the body and buy the Neutrogena Baby one for my face because my face is like a baby's...not cute, just sensitive! :) I want to try their new Beach Defense one. If you've tried it, leave me a comment below on how it works for you. 

5. A cover up. Gotta cover that booty when you're out of the water and just walking around the area...! 

6. A beach towel...duh! It serves many purposes. It can be used for something to lay on on the beach or pool or it can actually dry you ..if you're into that type of thing or you can use it as a cover up. Like I said, many uses..! Don't be afraid to use it as a turbin too. I hear it's all the rave in Paris. 

7. EOS lip balms are my favorite lip balms of all time and this honeydew one is perfect for summer. It smells delicious. It moisturizes and keeps your lips hydrated and for an SPF kind (which you should have instead) the Lemon scent one is the one to go! 
8. After Sun Nourishing Spray from Victoria's Secret. Cools your skin after a day in the sun. It smells like heaven and beaches in a bottle. It's a must-have in my bag! 
9. Floppy hat to shield the haters...I mean, the sun...and look good while doing it! 

10. Waterproof or easily wipeable makeup bag to house all of your small little makeup items like tinted moisturizer with SPF, a bb cream, your lip balm, a nice bright lipstick in Revlon's Lip Butter in Sorbet (such a pretty pink), your pinky blush like Elf's Pink Passion and a nice bronzer to keep that sunny glowing skin like NYC's Sunny Bronzer, an eyeshadow stick (better to just wipe on without needing brushes) like Milani's Eye Shadow Stick in Champagne Toast

11. I like to pack a body spray because who wants to go around smelling like sunscreen or if you forgot your deodarant, (which I didn't mention above but you TOTALLY need it.buy a small travel sized one and throw it in your makeup bag)...I love the Victoria's Secret summer scented one like Pink's Beach Weekend Body Mist or Surf Party. 

12. And not pictured above, a nice summer themed water tumbler with its straw to make sure you stay hydrated in the sun. 

12. Last but not least, PACK SOME SNACKS!! or you'll be STARVING LIKE MARVIN!!! Poor Marvin, he's always starving and no one ever feeds him..but I digress, so yeah, carry some snacks like protein bars, fruit bars, or fruit snacks...! Whatever you can carry unless you're taking a cooler in which case, make sure your entire fridge fits in there...(I kid, I kid!) No, I'm being serious...
