Replenish Your Body After a Workout

 

POST WORKOUT SMOOTHIE

You exercise to stay helthy but are you taking care of your body after you exercise,=? Vigorous exercise needs replenishment. When you work out, your body uses glycogen - a readily avaialble fuel used in your muscles and liver. The best way to replenishthis fuel is by consuming carbohydrates - found in protein. 

Here's a great post workout smoothie recipe:

  • 1 small frozen banana (Bananas contain potassium and electrolytes that are lost in sweat)
  • 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup of nonfat milk
  • 1 sliced peach
  • 1 tbsp frozen oj concentrate
  • 1.2 scoop of protein powder

This will help your muscles bind after a hard workout and will leave you feeling energized!
